Vicenzi in 1905 as a small pastry shop near Verona. Today we sacredly preserve Matilde's recipe book, applying her creations as a current source of inspiration for our sweet foundation. Matilde Vicenzi is the world-famous Italian brand for Fine Pastry, founded by Mrs. The small artisan pastry shop grew oever the years into a company. It is ‘limited’ because the new taste of summer this year is coconut (last year it was mint), and ‘limited’ because the version which should be consumed cold is available in the summer months only and is kept in the refrigerator, instead of on the shelf. In 1905, Matilde Vicenzi oepened her first pastry shop on the outskirts of Verona, where she carefully made her biscuits and pastries with pasion. In the new temporary shop the new limited edition of Grisbì, too, will be sold: Fresh Summer Edition 2015, which adds to such classic flavours as chocolate, hazelnut, lemon cream, and coffee.They contain Matilde Vicenzi’s specialities combined with Seletti design porcelain: a kit for preparing such sweets of the Italian confectionery tradition as ‘tiramisu’. For this anniversary, four gift boxes were realized.It is a significant milestone for the company, which is still family owned. This is highly visible project, designed in order to celebrate the 110 year history of this group from Verona. In the area facing the rails in Termini Train station, the traveller is captured by the smell of Vicenzi specialities, enclosed in a location that reproduces the refined and welcoming atmosphere of a pastry shop.After the opening in Milan to coincide with the beginning of Expo, Matilde Vicenzi opens a new temporary shop, ‘La Pasticceria di Matilde Vicenzi (Matilde Vicenzi’s Pastry Shop)’, always in the station, but this time in Rome.
